My parents yesterday decided to apply for Long Term Care Insurance. Before they made the decision our entire family discussed about the possible future. None of my sisters and brothers can promise our parents to be taken care of. This prompted them to avail insurance.

I would be very, very careful buying long term care insurance online. You will not save any money, the rates are the rates. But your parents deserve an advocate if they need assistance. See some of the posts on my blog about the issues here in Iowa currently under review by the insurance commissioner.
What state do your parents live in? I may be able to direct them to a qualified professional.
