I am one of the millions of American Idol fanatics who turns on the television channel every Tuesday and Wednesday. For the first time since this reality program started, I decided not to watch it anymore. Why?

Almost all of us noticed the lack of personality of the contestants. Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks, Lakisha Jones, Melinda Doolittle are the four contestants remaining who do not have the “it” word. If all of them would have competed in the groups of Carrie Underwood or Taylor Hicks, none of them would go to top 5.

What about Paula Abdul’s repeatition of comments week after week like, “You’re fantastic…,I am proud of you…,You did great…”.? I am tired of those words.

The Wednesday night that was usually a 30-minute program is extended to an hour. I understand this move because of advertisement purposes. But it is making us stay late.

American Idol lacks the element of contestants this year. I can’t wait to get over with and give the crown to Jordin Sparks. I’ll just wait next year.
